Dirt and sweat quickly accumulate in yoga mats with open cells, which can cause skin irritation and poor adhesion of the mat. At Manduka, they made this cleanser especially for their hit GRP yoga mat.
Recommended use once a month.
Manduka GRP® Yoga Mat Restore Cleanser

Cleaning yoga pillows that have open cells with GRP foam
Apply GRP® Yoga Mat Restore cleanser foam to a soft cloth and then gently apply it over the entire surface of the yoga mat with a cloth. Rinse the cloth thoroughly with water and remove any foam residue. Then wipe the surface of the yoga mat with a wet cloth and water. Wait for the mat to dry thoroughly before rolling it up.
